Support for people persecuted on political grounds
We support people who are persecuted on political, racial or religious grounds, as well as refugees and displaced persons, within the limits permitted by law.
People who are persecuted or have had to flee face many practical questions at once. We provide orientation and help with preparing applications, petitions and other documents and with communicating with authorities, institutions and organisations. We accompany people in situations of flight and exile after their arrival with orientation, stabilisation and integration. We also selflessly support persons who are in need within the meaning of § 53 of the German Fiscal Code (Abgabenordnung, AO).
Our support takes place within the limits permitted by law. We do not assess individual cases and do not act as representatives; where individual advice is needed, we refer people to suitable advice services. In doing so, we work together with other organisations and initiatives that help people in comparable situations.
